Needed: Part-Time Dog Walker (Horizon West, FL)

What We’re Looking For:

• Have an awesome attitude, with a willingness to learn (prior dog walking experience not necessary)
• Have the ability to handle large dogs, and multiple dogs at once(from same household only); must be able to lift up to 150 lbs (very infrequently).
• Have customer service experience and a customer-focused mentality
• Ability to work between the hours of 11 am and 4 pm
• Have a modern iPhone or Android smartphone, and download our PetPocketBook App
• Ability to commit to 3-5 set days of work per week, including holidays and weekends (additional $5/dog walk completed on holidays!)
• Possess an impeccable attention to detail.
• Have an interest in learning how a local, small business operates and possess a desire to grow within the company

What You May Not Love About The Job:

• Your schedule will depend on client demand, which means that we do not guarantee the same number of dog walks each week. This role is best for the dedicated individual looking for supplemental income.
• Some driving required, all within our small service area. We do provide a reimbursement for miles travelled and pay per completed dog walk.
• We can’t control the crazy Florida weather. You’ll be outside in the heat and rain!
• Dog walks take place all over Horizon West, which means that the majority of your work will be on your own. You should enjoy working independently and be able to time manage and complete tasks without direct supervision.

The Must-Haves

• A positive attitude, resiliency, client interaction skills and proven communication skills
• Live in, or within 5-10 minutes of Horizon West, FL.
• Reliable transportation and a newly released iPhone or Android smartphone
• Dependability- The pets (and their owners) are counting on you!
• Ability to lift, control and care for pets of all sizes and demeanors (Great Danes included)

Starting pay:

15 minute dog walk: $9

20 minute dog walk: $11

30 minute dog walk: $15

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 – $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
